Who We Are?
About us
- 100% of the music sector in Zimbabwe operates in the informal economy despite some tremendous global successes.
- 100% of its musicians and executives earn less than the average minimum wage.
- 100% of these have no pension insurance cover.
- 0% of music enterprises in Zimbabwe are invested in the stock market.
There is no public or private sector investment promotion, nor support initiatives aimed at music and film sub-sectors – Value-Addition | Beneficiation | Global Market-Upscaling – for meaningful and recognisable contribution to the national GDP.
The National Development Strategy – NDS1 – recognises the economic contribution potential of cultural and creative sectors, and the music sector is committed and ready to play its part to make this a reality.
